Build combinations
Group your cards into Sets (same rank, different suits) and Runs (consecutive cards, same suit).
Clear the opening threshold
You can't lay a single card on the table until your combined melds hit a rising point target, known as the Tahbita. Timing is everything.
Race to empty your hand
Once you're in, keep building and laying off cards. First to discard their very last card wins the round.
